A few weeks ago, I treated myself to my first maternity photoshoot. As a nice little treat and keepsake for my first pregnancy. After answering a makeover shoot casting, I chose Bombshell Photography UK. I saw Alison’s work on her portfolio, and loved her images. I will include her social media links at the end, for you to check her out yourself. I highly recommend shooting with her.
I just wanted to document my experience, so I can look back on it, in the future. It was a home studio shoot, where I was very welcomed, especially on a morning with very bad weather. Alison started with doing my make-up and hair. My make-up was kept very natural, as I don’t wear too much make up in my everyday life. My hair was styled with some light curls.
Fashion wise, I took various outfits and styles. I kept one simple, with a black, long sleeved crop top and matching leggings. My favourite dress I took to is a beautiful blue evening gown, from Stardust Boutique. I thought this fitted well, as I’m expecting a boy. It also created my two favourite shots from the whole set.
I also took along a little baby vest, with cars on as a prop. This requires an explanation for it to make sense. My partner, the baby’s father is really into cars. So I thought the baby vest was a cute idea.
Below are a few looks at the final images. You can see the full album on my facebook page: Link <-
I hope you enjoyed the images as much as I love them! I can’t wait to share them with my baby when he’s a bit older. Photographs are by Alison Ward. Her social media accounts are below:
